Full Seminar programme for the Manchester SecurityVision Roadshow. The first in the series of SecurityVision Roadshows is being held at the Manchester United Football Stadium on the 19th June 2007. The organiser Forward Events are pleased to announce that alongside the various manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers of security equipment and services, a full schedule of Free Seminars for the Day are open to all visitors.
Peter Fry of the CCTV User Group will start the day at 11.30am by looking at the current state and potential impact of both the Information Commissioner’s Review of his CCTV Code of Practice and the ACPO Home Office CCTV, both of which could have major implications for those involved throughout the CCTV sector. In addition, in taking this view into the future he will talk about converging technologies; currently in their infancy which those involved believe might change the way CCTV is monitored in the future.
2.00pm UNA Riley & Steve Kimber – Fire and Security Association.
Steve Kimber – Managing Director of southern Monitoring Services Ltd who has over 32 years’ experience in the industry will be co-presenting this seminar with Una Riley Head of Public Affairs for the FSA who has over 20 years industry practice. They will be talking about the ‘stepping-up’ of the FSA activities to further represent the interests of members in the Fire and Security sectors within the wider electro-technical profession.
3.30pm Richard Lewis – Analysis Capabilities in IP Network Cameras.
Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) is a fundamental advance in system design that divides up processing tasks by placing analysis capabilities in IP Network Cameras matched with back end processing capabilities in Recording and Monitoring solutions. This workflow innovation enables a new generation of systems that are inherently more efficient and effective and that better respects the boundaries of human attention. The arrival of DEPA marks a new stage in the development of security systems akin to the shift from centralised mainframe based corporate computing to today’s de-centralised, networked PC environment.
As well as Free seminars and the main exhibition SSR Personnel will be running a free prize draw for all attendees where you can win the Bentley Continental or Aston Martin thrill day, just visit their stand before 3.15pm during the show to enter.
We also have an exclusive show offer available from Romar, 15% off all orders placed on the day for their Prox-Mate Blue guard patrol system and headline sponsor Croma Shawley will be giving away a free Self Guard Covert Digital Surveillance System worth £600 for every order placed for over £6k’s worth of pan and tilt cameras.
